One of our customers found themselves up against it when there annual insurance examination found major repairs required to there two 32t overhead cranes. Both cranes required new pulley and bearing assemblies with only a couple of weeks given to complete all repairs, with no stock availability from the crane manufacturer the decision was made to remove and patterned one of the original pulleys for manufacture, two sets were machined and dispatched weighing in at over 400kg enabling both cranes repairs to be completed inside the time scales given from the insurance company with no production downtime and several thousand pounds saved on the repair.
